confidently predict the result, but until the final whistle blows, you9re hoping.
Faith has plenty of uncertainty too. Being a
Christian doesn9t mean knowing exactly
what is around the corner, having an answer
for everything, or believing that life will always go the way we want it to. Christians
still experience disappointment, grief and
uncertainty, and there are times when faith
itself can feel difficult.
Yet Christian hope is more than simply
crossing our fingers and hoping everything
turns out all right. It is a confidence that
even in the difficult and uncertain parts of life, God hasn9t abandoned us
and the story is bigger than the bit we can see right now.
There9s another difference between church and football which matters
